The Very Manageable Travel Setup I Should’ve Switched To Earlier
For a long time, I carried a full backpack everywhere.
Airport? Backpack.
Quick trip to town? Backpack.
Two-hour outing? Obviously I needed 26 litres of storage.
Turns out I was preparing for emergencies that never happened.
So I scaled it down to two things: a sling bag and wireless earbuds.
Strangely enough, life did not col
lapse.
The sling bag I’m using is the WATERFLY Crossbody Sling Backpack. It’s one of those compact travel sling bags that looks small until you realise it holds exactly what you actually carry — phone, wallet, passport, sunglasses, a charger, and earbuds.
It sits across your chest or back without swinging around like it’s trying to escape. It doesn’t make you look like you’re going hiking. It just makes you look like you packed on purpose.
It’s basically replaced my backpack for commuting, flights, city walks, and general everyday carry.

No dramatic promises. It’s just practical.
The second part of this setup lives inside the bag — a pair of TWS Hi-Fi wireless earbuds from Temu.
They connect quickly. The case shows the battery level. They handle music, podcasts, and airport announcements you’d rather not hear too clearly.
They’re not trying to win awards. They just do the job. Which, honestly, is refreshing.
They’ve become my default travel earbuds and gym earbuds because they’re easy to throw in the sling bag and forget about until I need them.

That’s the whole system.
A compact travel sling bag for your essentials. Wireless Bluetooth earbuds for your sanity.
No overpacking.
No tangled wires.
No digging through a backpack the size of a small tent just to find your passport.
It’s not a lifestyle transformation.
It’s just slightly less chaos.
And that’s usually enough.
